Questions Advocates Ask
Do I have to accept every matter shared with me?
No. You decide which matters you take up. If you cannot take one, simply let us know so we can find another advocate.
Can junior advocates apply?
Yes. Advocates at every stage of practice are welcome. Tell us your years of practice and the courts you appear in, and we will share matters that suit your experience.
Will joining affect my independent practice?
No. You continue your own practice. NYAY GHAR connects you with citizens who need guidance in your areas of work.
What will I need to apply?
Your Bar Council enrolment number and State Bar Council. You can also attach your enrolment certificate or CV, which speeds up verification.
Is this consistent with Bar Council rules on advertising?
NYAY GHAR does not advertise individual advocates. Citizens approach NYAY GHAR with their concerns, and matters are shared with network advocates for them to decide on.
